Botanical Compositions
The cycle of life—encompassing birth, growth, aging, and death—serves as a central theme that underpins my artistic practice.
Throughout my career, I have consistently drawn inspiration from the classical vanitas motif, using it as a conceptual thread to unify my body of work. My art reflects the transformative processes and intricate patterns of nature, capturing their poetic essence to delve into the profound layers of human experience.
A key focus of my work is the exploration of boundaries: the intersections between the natural and the artificial, the authentic and the constructed. These tensions—such as the dichotomies of attraction and repulsion or life and death—are at the heart of my creative investigations. Through a combination of meticulous observation, intuition, and imagination, I create compositions that depict elements in decay, serving as meditations on life’s impermanence and the ephemeral nature of existence.
